Already Watched Netflix Shows Appearing on Netflix “Continue Watching” | How to Fix It

If you’re seeing shows on your Netflix “Continue Watching” list that you have already watched, there could be a few reasons for this:

  1. Shared Account — If you’re sharing your Netflix account with someone else, they may have watched the show or left it unfinished, causing it to appear in your “Continue Watching” list.
  2. Multiple Devices — If you use Netflix on different devices, such as a smart TV, smartphone, or tablet, it’s possible that you started watching a show on one device and it’s still in progress on another. Netflix syncs your viewing across devices, so shows that are partially watched may show up in the “Continue Watching” section.
  3. Cache or Refresh Issue — Occasionally, a cached version of your Netflix account may cause the “Continue Watching” list to display outdated information.

If the above reasons are not the culprits, then here’s how to fix the problem.

  1. Open the show that you have already watched and is still appearing on the Continue Watching”.
  2. Using your remote control, select the down arrow and scroll down the options where you see “play”, “trailers and more”, “more like this”, ….. until you see “Remove from Continue Watching”.
  3. Click “Remove from Continue Watching” and the show would disappear from the list.

If none of these suggestions solve the problem, you can try reaching out to Netflix customer support for further assistance. They will be able to investigate the issue and help you remove the shows you’ve already watched from your “Continue Watching” list.
