Tropical Depression Butchoy Tracking and Projection

TROPICAL CYCLONE: WARNING
ISSUED AT 11:00 PM, 11 June 2020

“BUTCHOY” IS IN THE VICINITY OF BALIUAG, BULACAN AND IS NOW MOVING TOWARDS PAMPANGA-TARLAC AREA.

• Heavy Rainfall Outlook
• Between tonight and tomorrow noon: Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, northern portion of Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, and Occidental Mindoro. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and the rest of Luzon.
• Between tomorrow noon and tomorrow evening: Moderate to heavy rains over Zambales, Bataan, Pangasinan, Mindoro Provinces, and northern portion of Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Panay Island, and the rest of MIMAROPA, Ilocos Region, and Central Luzon.
• Flooding and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged rainfall especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards. The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices are advised to take appropriate measures and monitor the Rainfall or Thunderstorm Advisories or Heavy Rainfall Warnings of PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.
• Strong Winds
• Areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #1, Visayas, Southern Luzon and the western portion of Mindanao may experience occasional gusts associated with the tropical depression and the Southwest Monsoon.
• Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #1 over some municipalities in Quezon has been lifted.
• Coastal Water Conditions
• Moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.4 m) will be experienced over the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas in the next 24 hours. Those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out to sea while larger sea vessels must take precaution against rough seas.
• Landfall Information:
• “BUTCHOY” made landfall over Polillo, Quezon (5:30 PM, 11 June) and Infanta, Quezon (6:00 PM, 11 June).

At 10:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression “BUTCHOY” was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Baliuag, Bulacan (15.0 °N, 120.9 °E )

Movement:
Moving West Northwest at 25 km/h

Strength:
Maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h
