Google Celebrates El Año Bisiesto with a Doodle

Google celebrates February 29 with a new doodle, because this day comes only every four years, also known as the leap year (Spanish: El Año Bisiesto) having 366 days. The leap year is added to correct the gap between the duration of the tropic year. This requires that the calendar be corrected every four years for an uncounted accumulation of approximately a quarter of a day, per year equivalent to an extra day.
