Strong Earthquake Hits Jamaica and Cuba

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a strong magnitude 7.7 earthquake has struck south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

It was centered 125 kilometers north-northwest of Lucea, Jamaica.

It was centered only about 10 kilometers beneath the surface.

No reports yet if there are damages or injuries caused by the earthquake.
