Will There Be The Umbrella Academy Season 2?

Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy Season 1 is already impressing a lot of viewers with its story about a group of super-powered individuals. I binge-watched the whole 10 episodes of season 1 and I love every moment of it. In fact, I am hoping for season 2.

What The Umbrella Academy is About?

On October 1, 1989, forty-three women around the world gave birth to children who are gifted with superpowers and abilities. Seven of these children, Klaus, Luther, Diego, Allison, Ben, Vanya, and an unnamed teenager, were adopted by a billionaire, Sir Reginald Hargreeves. The businessman placed the seven kids in an institution called “The Umbrella Academy.” The academy taught the kids that being together would protect their identities.

During one the team’s operations, Ben was killed in the crossfire causing the team to disbands. Many years later, Luther became an astronaut, Allison a famous actress, Vanya a violinist, Klaus a party animal with a drug addiction, and Diego a vigilante.

When Reginald died, the team gathered once again for his funeral. Number Five returned from the future and told everyone of a coming apocalypse.

The Umbrella Academy Book

The Netflix series is based from the American comic book series created and written by Gerard Way. The first volume was The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite, followed by The Umbrella Academy: Dallas, and the third series was The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion.

The Umbrella Academy Season 2?

Netflix has not made any announcement yet of season 2. But if it comes, we may hear the news in March or April. And if The Umbrella Season 2 ever comes, it may take months to finish the production. Should we expect a season 2 release in 2020?
