“The Apprentice” creator, Donald Trump, announced on Tuesday (June 16) that he is officially running for United States president in the 2016 election.
“Our country needs a truly great leader and we need a truly great leader now,” Trump said. “We need a leader that wrote ‘The Art of the Deal.’ We need a leader that can bring back our jobs, can bring back our manufacturing, can bring back our military, can take care of our vets. … And we also need a cheerleader … we need somebody that can take the brand of the United States and make it great again.”
Trump joins other Republican presidential candidate for 2016 — Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio and Rick Santorum.
