UPDATE: Joseph Scott Pemberton Case May End In A Settlement
According to a news report on GMA’s “24 Oras” on Thursday, The mother of slain Filipino transgender Jeffrey “Jennifer” Laude is open to a P21-million (roughly $475,000) settlement from American suspect Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton.
Aside from the P21 million, Laude also asked that Pemberton should confess and issue a letter of apology not only to them but to the Filipino people.
Pemberton is currently detained at a US facility inside Camp Aguinaldo in the Philippines.

Pemberton is suspected of killing 26-year-old Laude on October 11 at a lodging house in Olongapo City.
