From the Daily Beast:
In the craziest news you will hear all day, a Nigerian man survived three days at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Harrison Odjegba Okene, a cook aboard a doomed tugboat, was found alive by divers searching the submerged wreckage in May. A dramatic video of the rescue went viral Tuesday. A diver had come upon a hand seen on a TV monitor showing the wreckage, and assumed it was a corpse. “But when he went to grab the hand, the hand grabbed him!” said Tony Walker, project manager for the Dutch company DCN Diving. Clad only in boxer shorts in the freezing pit of the ocean, Okene survived by breathing oxygen in an air pocket.
