U.S. Swimming Team Disqualified From World Championships In Spain (VIDEO)
It was only a .01 second mistake, and the U.S. swimming team was disqualified from the 2013 World Championships in Spain. The United States men’s individual relay team was the clear winner of the race but was disqualified after Kevin Cordes was seen leaving the blocks .01 of a second too early.
“I thought I hit it perfectly, but I guess I was too fast,” Cordes said to NBC after the disqualification. “There’s nothing you can do about it now.”
France was declared the winner of the men’s 4x100m medley relay.
