Jorge Zimmerman Tormented By People Angry Of George Zimmerman

His name is Jorge Zimmerman not George Zimmerman. Jorge is not the person you have seen on TV during the Trayvon Martin murder trial. But the poor guy has been tormented online for having a name that sounds like George. The guy received threats on his Facebook account after the verdict was handed out.

“I didn’t know who these people were and then I checked what they were saying,” Jorge Zimmerman said. “People asked if I was the George Zimmerman who killed Trayvon Martin. I got messages like payback is a, you know obscene words. Watch your back. Just watch yourself.”

“I had to deactivate my account. So, yeah, I’m off. I’m off for a while,” he said in an interview WPRI.

“I just thought it was ridiculous,” he said, adding that he did not receive any threats after Martin was shot to death last year. “I just wanted to be left alone. I had nothing to do with it.”

Zimmerman plans on keeping his Facebook account off-line for a little while.
