The Swedish Princess Lilian’s death Princess Lilian has died, according to Swedish media.

The Swedish Princess Lilian’s death. She was 97 years old.

Lilian was the Princess of Sweden, and widow of Prince Bertil of Sweden, King Carl XVI Gustaf’s uncle.

She was born 30 august 1915 as Lilian May Davies. In 1943, she met Prince Bertil.

The two were a couple, but for political reasons could not marry before 7 December 1976, when they married at Drottningholm Palace.

In 1997 her husband died, but the Princess has continued to represent the Swedish royal family in different contexts.

In 1992 she was awarded the Norwegian award the Grand Cross of St. Olav.
