About 400 inmates fight inside the State Prison in Tucson, Arizona a spokesman said. The brawl led to a lockdown on Sunday.
According to the Tucson Sentinel, 300 white and Mexican American inmates fought with about 100 African American prisoners around 9:45 a.m. Sunday. Prison guards quickly stopped the fight. No other units at the prison were involved in the fight.
Five inmates were taken to local hospitals to be treated for injuries sustained in the fight.
