666 Stamped W-2 Caused Walter Slonopas to Quit His Job

Walter Slonopas has been bothered by the number 666. The latest encounter was with his W-2 stamped with the number 666, which is believed to be the mark of the beast. The number appears in the New Testament of the Bible, and is linked to the Antichrist. Walter decided to quit his job at Contech Casting.

The first time Slonopas was assigned with the Devil’s number was on his first day at work in April 2011. He was assigned with 668 to use when he clocked in, but was mistakenly given with the number 666. Then in July 2011 when the company changed clock system, he was given with the 666 number again. He quit his job but later decided to come back when his company apologized for the error.

Now for the third time, Slonopas could not take it anymore and quit after seeing his W-2 tax form being stamped with the number 666. “If you accept that number, you sell your soul to the devil,” he says.

The company spokesman LaCourciere could not believe it had happened again. “I am completely at a loss for words,” he said.

LaCourciere said the firm planned to mail out a new W-2, in a plain envelope, by the end of the day on Tuesday. The company also wants to rehire him.

“We’d love to have him back,” he said.
