SNL Rude Buddha Makes Fun of Buddha Teachings
The SNL Rude Buddha skit was kinda offensive. I am certain that the sketch could end up racially offending several Buddhists, since SNL made fun of Buddha’s teachings. Andy Sandberg, who played the rude Buddha, was a little boring and the skit was not even executed well.
“Buddha is like the booba”
“What is the sound of one hand clapping?” Then rude Buddha slaps the guy.
Have you seen the episode? What do you think about making fun of Buddha’s teachings?

SNL is a program that thousands and thousands watch and enjoy. I have been watching it for a long time. But sometimes there were indications of– that the producers are not ‘sensitive’ enough or ‘educated’ enough on some areas that they develop fun around. Buddhism is a highly revered belief system of a very large population in this world, just like Christianity that you know about. Here in the USA some people do not ‘see’ beyond the borders of USA. But there is a huge world out there it is best for this country and people to be knowledgeable about the rest of the world. Posing Buddhism and Lord Buddha in ridiculous situations and laugh about it is not brining any accolades for SNL, TV in USA or, the USA. So please be sensitive when you handle religions and faiths that are celebrated at heart by others in the world, although you do not. Although you are comedians, you still need be carrying some graciousness within you. Isn’t that a breeding you wish for your young generation to grow up with?
This show is distasteful, disrespecting, and deeply offending. SNL does not dare to make fun of Allah (which they should not), because SNL is scared of muslims’ reactions. But to buddhists, SNL did not care at all. SNL should apologize for its’ insensitive insults to other believers. Seriously…………
