Yao Ming Retires From NBA

Houston Rockets center Yao Ming is retiring from NBA, according to report.

Yao Ming, 30, was drafted by the Rockets with the first pick in 2002. He has played in 486 games throughout his NBA career and was chosen to play in the All-Star Game eight times.

Injuries to Yao’s left foot and ankle are the main reasons why his career is ending prematurely.

He did not play at all during the 2009-10 season and he played in only five games this past season.
