Indian Parliament Passed Women Reservation Bill
The controversial yet historic Indian Women Reservation Bill that ensures 33% reservation to women in Parliament and state legislative bodies, was finally passed in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, with 186 being in favor of the bill and just one voting against it.
The bill required 155 votes out of the 233 members to be passed.
