2020 Doesn’t Have To Be A Wash Out: How To Make the Most Of The Rest Of This Year

On 31st December 2019 as the clock struck 11.59 pm, nobody could have predicted that 2020 would become one of the strangest of our lifetime. However, as the months have gone on and a pandemic has made its way across the planet, any of the goals, dreams and plans we had for the new decade flew right out of the window.

Many of us have resigned ourselves to the fact that 2020 has been a wash out. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way.

With a couple of months left of 2020, here are some of the ways that you can still make the best of the year in spite of COVID restrictions.

You Can Still Plan Ahead

In spite of things being cancelled in 2020, it doesn’t mean that you can’t still plan ahead for an excellent future. The fact that you may have some more time on your hands may well be one of the most beneficial things for you and your future. It is a time where great plans can still be made and businesses will still be born. So whether you want to start a business that helps to transport car parts, or make those great plans to finally write that book you’ve been talking about for years–2020 could just be the year for you to get the things done.

Maybe you had to sadly cancel a wedding or the trip of a lifetime, while it may be disappointing for you for now, it doesn’t mean that these events can’t be planned bigger or better at a later date. It just means that you have the universe given gift of time to make it that way.

Work On Yourself More

When the pandemic was first declared, many people went into autopilot and began undertaking new hobbies such as baking, sewing, crochet, crafting or crossword puzzles. There came a stage where it may have felt as though it was too late to start picking up a new hobby or way of working on ourselves, but the one thing we have learned this year is that it is never too late to find a new passion.

Now is as good a time as any to finally start working out or eating more fruits and veggies. Resolutions matter as much in the middle of October as they do on January 1st.

Self care and self development is incredibly important for your overall well being.

Be Grateful

In a time where many of us are experiencing losses, it can be easy to become disheartened. By exercising gratitude you are then acknowledging all of the positive things in your life–and there are plenty, even on the days it feels challenging to name them.

Try naming five things that you are grateful for each day and watch your attitude to gratitude increase as the weeks go on.

It’s not too late to make the most of 2020- follow these tips and start 2021 strong.
