World-Class New Clark City Aquatics Center Opens in Philippines

The Philippines is getting ready for the Southeast Asian Games 2019 in November. As part of the big preparation, the country built new sport facilities at the New Clark City. One of them is the world-class aquatics center.

The construction of the whole sports hub, including the Aquatic Center, started in April 2018. The Aquatic Center has these features:

– 2,000 seating capacity
– three swimming pools
– a 10-lane Olympic pool [50 by 25 meters (164 ft × 82 ft), depth of 3 meters (9.8 ft)]
– an 8-lane training pool [2 meters (6.6 ft) deep]
– a diving pool [ 25 by 20 meters (82 ft × 66 ft), depth of 5 meters (16 ft)]

All aquatic events would be held at the Center, including water polo.
