Netflix Membership Fee Set To Increase
Netflix has sent out emails to millions of its members informing them for its price increase starting in May.
“We hope you have been enjoying your Netflix membership. We are writing to let you know about an upcoming change.
Your monthly price is increasing to $12.99 on Wednesday, May 15th 2019. Why? We’re hard at work improving Netflix so that you can have even more great TV shows and movies to enjoy.
Here’s to watching what you want, when you want, where you want. You can change your plan, or if you do not wish to continue your membership, as always you can cancel any time at netflix.com/cancel.”
The basic plan will increase from $7.99 to $8.99 a month. This cheapest plan allows members to watch on 1 screen at a time in standard definition and download videos on 1 phone or tablet.
The standard plan will increase from $10.99 to $12.99 a month. This plan allows members to stream simultaneously on two devices in high definition.
Netflix’s premium plan will increase from $13.99 to $15.99 a month. This plan allows members four devices to stream simultaneously in HD and Ultra HD.
“We change pricing from time to time as we continue investing in great entertainment and improving the overall Netflix experience,” Netflix said in a statement to the AP.
