Typhoon Gorio Projected Path and Tracking 2017: Affecting Northern Philippines (Update)

Synopsis: At 3:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm “GORIO” (NESAT) was estimated based on all available data at 595 km East Northeast of Casiguran, Aurora or 625 East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.3°N, 127.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h. It is forecast to move North Northwest at 13 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas.
Pagtaya: Mga pag-ulan dulot ng habagat na maaaring magdulot ng mga pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Apayao, Benguet, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao at Abra. Maulap na kalangitan na may mahina hanggang sa katamtamang mga pag-ulan at pagkidlat-pagkulog ang mararanasan sa Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino at Nueva Vizcaya.
Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa timog-kanluran hanggang sa timog ang iiral sa Hilagang Luzon at sa lalawigan ng Aurora. Ang mga baybaying dagat ay magiging katamtaman hanggang sa maalon.
Forecast: Monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides is expected over the provinces of Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Apayao, Benguet, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao and Abra. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over Northern Luzon and Aurora province. The coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
