911 Philippines: Because The Philippines Can Do It (VIDEO)

Finally, 911 Philippines is coming this August 2016! This 911 system has never been introduced to the country by previous administrations. But with the new President Rodrigo Duterte, the national emergency hotline will launch just three months into his term.

911 Philippines will be ready to respond to disasters and emergencies like fire, typhoon, earthquake, landslides, tsunami, flood, terrorist attack, civil disturbance, riot control, search and rescue, vehicular accident, and others.

“We are ready.” This was the declaration of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

“From Aug. 1, 2016, all public telecommunications entities shall route ‘911’ calls to the existing PATROL 117 Command Center until the new 911 Command Center is established and made operational. Thereafter, all ‘911’ calls shall be routed to the 911 Command Center,” NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba said.
