Is Muhammad Ali dead? The answer is NO. Muhammad Ali is alive. This question came out after a “media frenzy” reporting of the boxing legend being in “grave condition” in a Phoenix-area hospital. Ali continues to battle a respiratory condition.

The 74-year-old former heavyweight boxing champion’s spokesman Bob Gunnell said Thursday that it was to be a “brief” hospital stay. Further, Gunnell said that Ali was in a hospital in fair condition.

Ali was previously hospitalized in December 2014 and January 2015 after suffering a severe urinary tract infection.

UPDATE: Ali is dead at age 74.
