Canada To Welcome 25,000 Syrian Refugees by End of February, Needs Volunteers
The ongoing conflict in Syria has triggered the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today. As millions of Syrians continue to be displaced due to conflict in their home country, the Government of Canada is working with Canadians to welcome 25,000 Syrian refugees by the end of February.
Of these, 10,000 will find refuge in Ontario. A total of 63 destination communities, including cities in the Greater Toronto Area, London, Kitchener and Ottawa, will be part of this important effort.
