Is it True That a Comet Will Hit Earth in September 2015? NASA Says False
You may have read it on social media that a comet will hit earth between September 15-28, 2015. There is also a video circulating online entitled “Confirmed-2.5 Mile Wide Comet expected September 15-28 2015?, saying that NASA and the Federal Emergency Management Agency have been preparing for the catastrophe.

IS this true? NASA answered the rumor.
In an 8 June 2015 article, a NASA spokesperson addressed rumors about the approach of a comet affecting Earth in September 2015 and stated definitively that no such astronomical happening had been seen:
NASA knows of no asteroid or comet currently on a collision course with Earth, so the probability of a major collision is quite small.
In fact, as best as we can tell, no large object is likely to strike the Earth any time in the next several hundred years.
