Interstate 10 California Bridge Collapses on Highway During Flooding

A 30-foot section of a bridge above the Interstate 10 Freeway east of Coachella collapsed Sunday, trapping a truck driver. The collapse happened amid heavy rains in eastern California.

The driver was freed after nearly two hours and taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs with moderate injuries.

Those traveling from Arizona should take US-95 to Interstate 40.
