NASA Unexplained Files Season 2 Episode Spoilers

NASA Unexplained Files Season 2 Episode Spoilers. For decades NASA has been tasked with exploring the unknown. The agency has reached beyond the bounds of Earth in search of knowledge to benefit mankind – launching scientists into space and space crafts to the limits of the solar system. What those missions have uncovered are sometimes disturbing anomalies that have perplexed the world’s finest scientific minds. Science Channel is returning to the space agency’s archives to reveal more countless mysteries and unusual encounters, discoveries and sightings that NASA has experienced over the years in all-new episodes of NASA’S UNEXPLAINED FILES beginning Wednesday, April 22 at 9 PM ET/PT.

Each episode of NASA’S UNEXPLAINED FILES scrutinizes evidence, explores possible explanations, and considers testimony from NASA insiders, scientists, astronauts and others who have witnessed these strange phenomena. Often inexplicable, bizarre and barely believable, the stories featured in NASA’S UNEXPLAINED FILES are made all the more unusual in that they come from the most credible scientific organization in the world.

Upcoming Episodes Include (All Times ET/PT):

“Hammer of Thor”
World Premiere
Wednesday, April 22 at 9 PM

NASA sends top scientists to Death Valley to examine strange happenings in the hottest place on Earth – rocks weighing upwards of 700 pounds are moving across the desert without human intervention. Burning lights in the sky above the western U.S. spark fears the Department of Defense could be testing a highly classified space weapon system named after Thor. Additionally, scientists explore a mysterious planet that is 17 times the mass of Earth; a series of strange markings on the lunar surface that looks like footprints; a strange writhing shape in Earth orbit; and space slime.

“Spacewalk of Doom”
World Premiere
Wednesday, April 29 at 9 PM

Two hundred miles above the Earth astronaut Luca Parmitano embarks on a six hour spacewalk, but something goes horribly wrong when water leaks into his helmet and he starts to drown. Where did the water come from and what could have caused the leak? An amateur astronomer photographs a massive, white-hot fireball rising from the Moon, and the photograph is corroborated by an unlikely source: the chronicles of a 12th century monk. Additionally, scientists examine: two planets seemingly defy the laws of physics; a mid-air kidnapping in Melbourne; the canals of Mars; an alien exodus and the hijacking of an asteroid.

“Did We Nuke Jupiter?”
World Premiere
Wednesday, May 6 at 9 PM

In 1972 a lunar-satellite released by the crew of Apollo 16 crashes into the lunar surface after just 35 days in orbit. Its flight path was calculated to the inch, all systems were functioning normally right up until the moment of impact and the space around the moon is supposedly to be totally empty. Apollo 12 astronaut Pete Conrad captures a portrait of Alan Bean on the lunar surface. But a mysterious object is caught in the visor’s reflection, which conspiracy theorists view as the light of a studio. Additionally, experts explore: a nuclear explosion on Jupiter; the mysterious face on Mars; a strange doughnut-like object on Mars; and potentially unprecendented atmospheric events caused by launch of the Solar Dynamic Observatory.

“Nazis on the Moon”
World Premiere
Wednesday, May 13 at 9 PM

After a triumphant start to the space race the Soviet Union’s lunar probes start to disappear without trace. Until one finally manages to send back a rock sample that suggests something was already on the lunar ground long before the Russians got there. In a region of the moon untouched by U.S. space exploration, who else could have got there first? A distant star known as 49 CETI astonishes astronomers when they discover it’s surrounded by two giant rings that should have disappeared more than 30 million years ago. Do scientists now have to rewrite the book on the life-cycle of a star? Additionally scientists examine: methane gas on Mars; the Bermuda Triangle of Space; a mysterious vapor trail hurtling through space; and a laser signal from 16,000 light years away.

“Lethal Weapons”
World Premiere
Wednesday, May 20 at 9 PM

Astronomers discover an asteroid floating between Mars and Jupiter, but as it gets nearer something never before seen happens. The strange object breaks into pieces. What strange force is capable of unleashing such destructive power in space? When Apollo astronauts bring back the first moon rocks the scientists analyzing them find something impossible – results seem to indicate they’re magnetic, but the moon has no magnetic field. Additionally, scientists examine: the Vela Incident in 1979; the mysteries of the ISON super comet; the discovery of a new Earth; a strange shadow on the moon; and a space rock discovered in Australia that may contain Alien DNA.

“Revenge of the Fireflies”
World Premiere
Wednesday, May 27at 9 PM

Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweickart is the first of many to report strange experiences or “space madness” when they step out into space. Is this a response to the extreme stresses of space flight, or something more sinister? In 2013 observers watching the live television feed from the ISS are astonished to see dozens of bright UFOs moving erratically, constantly changing course. Whatever the objects are marks the beginning of one of the most disturbing episodes in the history of the ISS. Additionally, scientists investigate: a huge glowing spiral above Norway; an island in one of Titan’s seas; the anomaly of Kepler 7B; a possible eruption on Mars; and a mothership for Mercury.
