Some Japanese are saying that the winner of Miss Universe Japan, Ariana Miyamoto, isn’t Japanese enough to represent the country in the prestigious beauty pageant. The biracial 20-year-old beauty queen’s mom is Japanese and her dad is African-American.
Miyamoto was born and raised in Nagasaki and speaks fluent Japanese.
