Miyako, Japan Earthquake Today February 16, 2015; Tsunami Advisory Issued
A strong 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit Miyako, Japan today, February 16, 2015. A tsunami advisory has been issued by Japan’s meteorological agency. The agency said a tsunami of up to one meter (3.3 feet) was forecast to hit the coast of Iwate at around 8:30 a.m. (2330 GMT Monday).
