It became the talk of the town today in a village in Mallig, Isabela in the Philippines, after a snake that was caught and killed had apparent feet, similar to those in lizards or iguanas.
The ‘leggy’ snake was caught in a family home in Barangay Gambol Olango.
A man named Norberto was cleaning his house when he noticed the snake on the floor.
The snake hid in a box and was quickly killed. Noberto was amazed when he noticed that there seemed to be a pair of feet attached to the snake.
While residents have different folklore beliefs, a forestry specialist explained that the snake had undergone some genetic mutations, which explained the existence of the legs.
