Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 Search Continues With Seabed 3D Mapping
Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 vanished March 8, 2014 with 289 people on board after it took off from Kuala Lampur bound for Beijing. It is believed to have plunged into the Indian Ocean south of Perth, Australia.
This week, Australian officials released new video a 3D map of the Indian Ocean floor as the search there continues for missing plane.
The computer-animated video offers a visualization of the sea floor terrain in the search area, according to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. It was necessary to map the sea floor before the underwater search begins, the ATSB said.
