Body of WSU Student in Food Elevator of a Wisconsin Restaurant
The body of Winona State University student Brooke Baures, 21, was found side a food elevator at the Wing Dam Saloon and Grill in the Buffalo County community of Fountain City, Wisconsin Monday night.
Brooke was a senior majoring in social work and a member of the WSU gymnastics team from 2011 to 2014.
“Brooke was a leader on that team and a very talented gymnast,” said Eric Schoh, WSU Athletic Director. “This is a tremendous loss for our community, and we ask that you keep Brooke and her family, friends, coaches and teammates in your thoughts.”
WSU posted this message on its Facebook page: “Our WSU community is mourning the loss of student and Warrior gymnast Brooke Baures, who passed away Dec. 1. We are holding Brooke’s family, friends and gymnastics teammates in our thoughts.”
