Super Typhoon Ruby Path and Track: Philippines Cyclone Heading Towards Islands (Updates)
See image below for Super Typhoon Ruby‘s projected path and track updates. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that it is expected to enter Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday morning.
Ruby, international name Storm Hagupit, has formed about 1500 miles east of the Philippines. It is expected to take advantage of very warm waters and low wind shear to intensify into a major Category 3 typhoon later this week. Super Typhoon Ruby may be a threat to the Philippines this weekend, based on models. However, another model predicts that the storm will recurve to the north and miss the Philippines.
