Malaysia Airlines Plane Crash on Ukrainian-Russian Border (VIDEO)
Someone from the Ukraine’s interior ministry said that a Malaysia Airlines plane carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew was reportedly shot down and crashed near the Ukrainian-Russian border Thursday.
A spokesman for Malaysian Airlines confirmed “an incident” in a tweet:
Malaysia Airlines has lost contact of MH17 from Amsterdam. The last known position was over Ukrainian airspace. More details to follow.

According to the report, the Maylasian plane was brought down by a ground-to-air missile.
Anton Gerashenko, an adviser to Ukraine’s interior minister, wrote on Facebook that the plane was flying at an altitude 33,000 feet when it was hit by a missile fired from a Buk launcher.
Flight MH17 was en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam.
Update 1: The airline said that the crash site was approximately 50 kilometers from the Russia-Ukraine border:
Flight MH17 operated on a Boeing 777 departed Amsterdam at 12.15pm (Amsterdam local time) and was estimated to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 6.10 am (Malaysia local time) the next day. The flight was carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew onboard.
