McDonald’s Plane Crash On Its Parking Lot Injures Pilot Only (VIDEO)
Small Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashes in McDonald’s parking lot on DeSiard Street in Monroe City, Louisiana, injuring the pilot Tuesday morning.
The pilot is believed to be the only person on board. No one was reported injured on the ground crash site. The pilot suffered ‘serious’ injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital by helicopter.
Plane reportedly left Carmi Municipal Airport in southeastern Illinois and crashed at 10:55am. According to an eyewitness, the plane appeared to clip several pine trees causing it to spin out of control before crashing.
The plane was registered to Illinois resident Donald R. Jones and part of the fleet owned by WFO Flying Service, but it is unclear if he was the pilot at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
