Two Popes and two new Saints! Popes John XXIII and John Paul II were canonized as Saint John XXIII and Saint John Paul II on Sunday at the Vatican.
On the Second Easter Sunday Pope Francis presided over the Holy Mass for the Canonization of the the two towering figures of 20th-century Catholicism, Blessed John XXIII and John Paul II at St. Peter’s Square.
This is the first time that two popes have been canonized at the same time.
