Ford Hood Shooting Confirmed At the Texas Army Base

Another Ford Hood shooting this Wednesday evening, April 2, 2014. The Texas Army base has confirmed the shooting through Twitter.

President Obama is following the situation closely, the White House said. “I want to just assure all of us we are going to get to the bottom of exactly what happened. We’re heartbroken something like this might have happened again.”

In 2009, U.S. Army major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 individuals and injured 30 more in a mass shooting at Fort Hood.

At the time of this report, it is unclear if the gunman is still at large.
