Philippine Arena – World’s Largest Dome Arena (VIDEO)
Touted as the World’s Largest Dome Arena, the Philippine Arena will soon open for business this 2014. The massive structure was recently featured on Discovery Channel’s Man-made Marvels.
Hanwha E&C or Korean Firm Construction began the construction of the World’s Largest Domed Arena in the Philippines. Hanwha E&C said that the work will be carried out over 30 months to be finished early 2014.
Description
Philippine Arena, a 50,000-seater indoor performance hall will soon rise at a 74,000-square-meter area of Ciudad de Victoria project in Bocaue, Bulacan.
The soon-to-be-biggest indoor dome in the world, Philippine Arena, is owned by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) religious organization. INC said that the dome is a Centennial Project for the 100th Anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo and is expected to be finished in 30 months or by 2014.
The arena will not only hold major church gatherings, it will also operate as a multi-use sports and concert venue, capable of holding a range of events from boxing and basketball to live music performances. There is clear “line of sight” for every seat from each tier, even for various arena configurations such as church ceremonies, boxing, tennis, concerts or indoor gymnastics.
