Philippines Warship Arrives in Subic Bay Freeport (VIDEO)
Philippines President Benigno Aquino has welcomed the arrival of the country’s newest warship. It is hoped that the 3,250-ton white cutter, renamed Philippine navy frigate BRP Ramon Alcaraz, will boost the country’s defense forces as it gets caught up in a territorial dispute in the South China Sea. Filipino officials say that China has intruded into the country’s potentially oil-rich offshore territory.
The war ship is now docked at a wharf in Subic Bay freeport, northwest of the capital, Manila.
