Car Crashes Daycare Center In Kansas City Hurting Toddlers

Witnesses said two vehicles collided in the 3600 block of East 27th Street just after 1 p.m. three toddlers and one adult were hurt when one car crashed inside the Daycare Center.

Police said 40 children were in Christian Academy Child Care at the time. Witnesses told KMBC’s Micheal Mahoney that two children were pinned beneath one of the vehicles.

Authorities said bystanders helped pulled one child from beneath the vehicle.

Neighbors told Mahoney that it is a very busy day care center and operates around the clock.

Firefighters have had to shore up the building because so much of the day care center was damaged.

Police are investigating the crash. It was not immediately clear how the wreck happened.
