Hudson River Boat Crash Leaves 2 People Missing (VIDEO)
Boat accident in Hudson River leaving 2 people missing, 4 hurt.
The Coast Guard says two people are missing after their boat struck a barge in the Hudson River near the Tappan Zee Bridge.
4 other people were injured in the accident in the town of Piermont.
Authorities say six people were on a cruise across the Hudson on a 21-foot Stingray, a type of recreational boat, when it hit the barge Friday.
The missing are a 30-year old Piermont woman, Lindsay Stewart, who was due to married in two weeks, and her best man.
They were not found during three hours of searching, which resumed Saturday morning.
The injured, including Stewart’s fiance, were taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.
The groom to be was knocked unconscious and called 911 when he was revived. He suffered a fractured eye socket.
A search is underway by the Piermont police dive team; aviation units from the New York Police Department, and the Westchester County Police’s marine unit.
The boat was headed from Piermont to Tarrytown.
