T-38 Crash: Two Air Force Base Pilots Ejected Safely (VIDEO)

German student pilot 1st Lieutenant Julius Dressbach and his instructor Major Chris Thompson, ejected safely from their T-38 plane trainer following a bird strike.

The T-38 Friday crashed in a heavily wooded area about 3 miles south of Sheppard. The two on board only suffered minor injuries.

Early reports indicated that the student pilot flying in the front seat of the plane received a broken leg or ankle. The instructor pilot had a slight injury to his ankle.
