Thai Buddhist Monks in A Private Jet And Wearing iPods

Real or fake? Here is a video circulating online showing a group of reportedly Thai Buddhist monks flying in a private jet, wearing stylish sunglasses and carrying designer luggage.

The footage has upset some Thai Buddhists who view the lavish lifestyle on display as inappropriate. The Office for Natonal Buddhism received 300 complaints in 2012 about the monks’ activities.

The Office of National Buddhism director-general Nopparat Benjawatananun said that the agency saw the video and had warned the monks from a monastery in Thailand’s north-east not to repeat the lavish behaviour. It plans to monitor monks nationwide.
