$590 Million Jackpot Winner: Her Name is Gloria Mackenzie

After weeks of waiting, the winner of the $590 million jackpot of last May 18 Powerball has finally came forward and claimed the prize. The name of the woman is Gloria C. Mackenzie, 84 years old. According to the Florida Lottery officials, the sole winner took the smaller lump-sum payment option, who came to Tallahassee with her son and two attorneys.

Mackenzie took the single lump-sum payment of about $370.9 million before taxes.

The winning ticket was sold at a Publix supermarket in Zephyrhills.
