North Dakota Death Rate in Work Place Highest in the U.S.
North Dakota placed #1 in the latest rankings of the highest rate of worker deaths in the U.S. The report, provided by AFL-CIO, showed North Dakota having 44 worker deaths in 2011, for a rate of 12.4 deaths per 100,000 workers. Data used were from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The risk of job fatalities and injuries is lowest in New Hampshire, with only 1.2 fatalities per 100,000 workers.
