500 Cells Unlock Simultaneously At Maryland Prison
A computer glitch caused 500 cells at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility to unlock simultaneously, around 12:20 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the report, no inmates tried to escape although it took one hour to reset the system and had the locks working again.
The function to open all the doors simultaneously is a fire safety precaution at the facility in Maryland.
Officials are now studying the cause of the glitch.
