Wisconsin College Lockdown After Gunman Sighting
Officials at the Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin have put the college on lockdown due to a report of a gunman sighting on campus, according to the school’s website. Police were alerted around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday when a man with a firearm wearing a brown jacket and black hat was seen walking in the area.
Classes were canceled for the day as authorities investigate.
Update: Carroll University campus is open
The temporary lockdown of the Carroll University campus has been lifted per instructions from the Waukesha Police Department and the Carroll Campus Safety Department.
Waukesha police have in custody a suspect who was seen on campus earlier today carrying a gun. It is not known at this time what kind of gun it was.
Afternoon classes will resume immediately.
