The 2013 Boston Marathon kicked off on Monday with 23,181 runners. Lelisa Desisa from Ethiopia took home the first place title in the men’s race with 2 hours, 10 minutes, 22 seconds.
Kenyan Rita Jeptoo won the women’s race for her second Boston victory, finishing with a time of 2:26:25.
