Fatal Text Message A Reminder Not To Text While Driving

Text DeathThe parents of Alexander Heit, the 22-year-old University of Northern Colorado student, who died in a car crash on April 3 in Greeley, released the a photo of what is now called the ‘fatal text message’. It is message that Heit was supposed to send that moment before he went off the road and rolled his car.

The photo of the photo containing the texts, published Wednesday in The Greeley Tribune, shows Heit was responding to a friend by typing “Sounds good my man, seeya soon” followed by a few letters before crashing.

The parents hope that the photo will remind drivers the risk of texting while driving.
