Teen Accidentally Kills Brother At Home Near Lake Nona
Here is another case of a kid accidentally killing a sibling. This time, it involved a 16-year-old teen who accidentally shot and killed his 12-year-old brother inside their home in the Lake Nona area, on Portofino Drive in the Nona Crest subdivision off Narcoosee Road.
The victim as taken to the hospital but later pronounced dead.
According to reports, the parents were not at home when the accident happened.
The teen will not face any charges.
“Detectives will be meeting at a later date with the State Attorneys Office to discuss the case and decide if there is any negligence,” said Orlando Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jim Young. “The family is fully cooperating with the investigation; however, they are requesting privacy.”
How many innocent lives have to be taken away before another innocent life is taken away? it doesn’t matter it was accidental or intentional. Gun kills. I’m pretty sure that their parents will say “I thought I locked the gun” or “how they find that?” or “Ive never thought this would happen to my family.” A lot of you will say that “we need to educate our kids about using guns” which is ridiculous, stupid, and wasteful because that will lead to an incident just like this one. It only takes only one bullet, one gun, and one shot to kill a person. We don’t need these type of news anymore, do we? any solutions? how about changing 2nd Amendment? The keyword is “change” since any Amendment can be changed. Let’s stop adoring violence.
By the way, I’m 100% OK with shooting towards wild animals or shooting flying targets in private ranges. But not in public.
This is only the beginning. We deserve ourselves.
Disarming all the honest people is not going to curb violence any more than telling all the police to just stay home will cut crime. Accidental death is the chief cause of death for boys in that age group and guns are only a small part of those sad statistics. The media is just hyping every firearm incidence. In Connecticut, on an average day, as many infants die at the hands of killers in lab coats as died at Sandy Hook Elementary, everyday, day after day. It is done while soothing classical music plays in the back ground.
