Six Killed Bar Shooting in Cancun Mexican Resort

At six people were killed in a bar shooting at a Mexican seaside resort of Cancun. The Mermaid bar, which is popular for students enjoying “Spring Break”, was the target of two armed men who opened fired at the crowd with automatic rifles and a handgun.

According to the Telegraph, the main target was the group of drinkers believed to be members of a taxi drivers’ union.

Authorities are investigating the motive for the shooting. Soldiers are currently guarding the hospital where the wounded are being treated, over fears of another attack.
